And we were doing so good after Freaknight, I really thought things were really looking good for Seattle.
Actually, the only events I do attend are the DnB shows, they really seem to know how to throw a good party, but still pissed and bored. | GnD, freaknight then christopher lawrence then fatboy slim, markus, tiesto and marcoV at the great NYE up.
now nothing.:sadgreen: |

... but when people come up to you at events and go "what kind of music is this?" I dont even know... :nervous: |
HAHA yah when I was at Medusa's a couple weeks back i heard this girl go ' are they only going to play techno the whole night?', I wanted to turn over to her and say 'first off it's Trance, there is a difference and second off no one pointed a gun to you head and forced you to come!' |

| I've found the afterhours in Seattle to be an absolute blast thus far. It seems I can't find a bad one. My GF and I talk now about which afterhours to go to, not which club - since no talent is coming through. If you're in Seattle, afterhours is where it is at now. Go support 'em! |

Haha I would make it, I would love to see you |
As would I.
Hopefully this is just a temporary rut that will go away over the next couple of months. I'll be pissed if I still can't go anywhere when I hit 18 in April. |

Oh hell yes!
Marco V is coming back to Seattle on May 13, oh that's awsome...
Oh, wait, it's at LSC. Oh nevermind I can't go. That's right I'm not 21. Oh my, I love this city's consideration. Who would have thought that after Freaknight, no one under 21 would be interested in seeing Marco V again.
Let me go cringe for a while. I'll feel better.:eyespop: :whip: |

Yah, that and Lucky Charms have been the only things lately to actually make me go, "Hey, cool." Aside from Digweed and Marco V, of course. |

| I think promoters should start collaborating and splitting the costs for some of these big names that rarley ever come to Seattle. The problem Lucky Charms and all those other parties is it's the same thing. I mean, I could probably already guess the line-up for it already. Chances are they will bring somebody they brought before. Same locals, same headliner, same everything but different name. It gets old and recycled. But, I guess it is the safe way to go, considering that only a few in Seattle have ever heard of any of the headliners that are coming. |

I forgot about lucky charms... thats in march tho...
Im gunna try to goto KandyLand, but its the 26th, and thats my friends b-day, so unless im doing something with her, then im gunna go. |
Let me know if you do go. I was kinda interested, but going by myself without knowing anyone just seems kinda meh.
| quote: | but yea, there is alot of people that dont even know what the music is so you bring in someone hot and they dont even know whats going on...
Like Markus Shulz came through here and barely got a mention but he came through SF and LA and SD and everyone was going nuts. |
I'll argue that, while it means that promoters wont bring the bigger names more often, when they do, it's better for the fans of them. People that actually know of the bigger DJs will enjoy the event a lot more than being packed in with masses upon masses of people that are only there to say, "I saw so-and-so, so that makes me cool!"
Maybe we need to get off of our asses and do something about it. :p |
