Does anybody know if Pioneer have plans for a replacement for the CDJ1000?, I'm planning to get one pretty soon and would really like to know if theres something coming out in the near future, if its afew months away, bollocks to it, I'll get the 1000.

It is safe to assume they're working on a new 1000...but it will most likely be the MK3. Even if it is finished this year, they will probably introduce it at namm next year and let some of the DJ's that work at pioneer test it before anything Is released and then fix any of the problems :)

I think you're better off just getting a MK2 right now. When the mk3's come out, they will probably be overpriced just like the DVJ and DJM 1000 :p

Even though the engineers at pioneer did do great work and come out with something amazing, I still think it's overpriced

Yea thats true, it would prolly take awhile.

I can't see them making many changes to the interface as its become so common placed, it would be like changing to a square platter on a turntable.

I can't see them doing much more to the 1000, apart from maybe adding effects (which they wouldn't do I bet) all I can think of is maybe a better display, more hot cues, mp3 support (which I really don't care for) and better pitch accuracy, but .02 I can work with pretty dam well, so I think I'll just get the good ol mk2.

Umm unless I missed something, the mk2 can't be updated, they would have to bring out a whole new unit, thats why theres the mk2, the first one had problems so they had to bring out a whole new unit.

I think some of the first 1000's to come out could be updated via software :)
