Forget him...he's all show and no balance. Besides he's really stuck up when u meet him. And his former wives can support my opin.
Now Bruce Lee is a definately the first all the way. Not just for his one inch knockout punches but for his (TKD)legs, his Perseverance, Self-Control and Indomitable Spirit. The greatest Sa Bum Nim/Sensei to make his mark in North America.
My second choice is Frank Dux. Maybe most of you don't know of him, but he was one tough ass. I don't think many fighters wud even stand a chance next to him. Not even Billy Blanks. Probably the best way to understand who he was is to rent the movie Bloodsport...Van Damit does an ok job of portraying him. But up close and person....there is no competition.
Though I would say that absolutely without a doubt Steven Seagal's aikido is the best street fighting. Never mind Twin Dragon's or Northern Karate...they can only wish to be ready for multiple fighters like in aikido style.
In 3rd place is my Sa Bum Nim Robert Summers...Jong Park loss is North America's gain, and Madison Square Gardens Championships will never be the same. All the years under you, Mr. Park and Dino Hennigs haven't gone to waist sir...I'll be back again.
Peace :D |

jet li.
Jackie chan is an acrobat, who's stunts are made faster thru less frame captures.
Bruce lee is a legend, but he started the whole martial arts movie thing, so a lot of the tricks weren't around for him.
I just remembered some movie I saw with jet li where he walks into a room full of martial arts students. For some reason the crowd goes berserk and all attack him at once. He dislocated everyone's shoulder in like 30 different ways. I've never seen a crazier scene than that. |

Go check out Tony Jaa in Ong-Bak. Your opinion may change.
He isn't on the poll...but he is truely unbelieveable to watch. |
