ING politics......

I ing knew it. I knew it for months.

I guess telling my shift manager to shove it up his ass was the last straw. The shift manager has no power, but since he's a going-no-where-incompetent-hypocritical-thief who was having a bad night, he bitched to my manager. Usually we're pretty cool.

Anyway, as with most jobs, it was more than that, it was a bunch of long-term bull, hense me mentioning the last-straw. Too much favoritism in that place. Too many politics and bull, nothing flew straight. I'm glad im out of there.

All I know is I'm not going to college for nothing. I can only handle so many dead-end jobs.

Agreed. Finish your school. You'll regret it if you don't.

Sorry to hear you lost your job, are you looking for something else yet?

not finishing college in america means ur a loser? why dont u speak from expierence first then open ur mouth. I know plenty of people that didnt even graduate higschool and are well off now....its called entrepreneurship. If you followed politics/the job market ud know that jobs are hard to get here. Just cuz u have a paper doesnt maean that ur guaranteed a job....my friend graduated fullsail in FL which is the best soung engineering school money can buy, hes back in NJ now near me working a a blockbuster because he cant get a job...and he has a 25k degree in sound engineering/production.

Dude, you have no idea what your talking about. I have a 4 year degree from the University of Florida, and after a year, I'm finally getting interviews for jobs in my field..The job market sucks, and the only thing that matters is if you have experience anymore. Everyone goes to college nowdays, and it doesn't mean . The only people making money are mechanics and Air conditioning guys down here, excluding doctors and lawyers, so thats what I do, I'm in the car business doing custom paint and mechanical work.

Ummm.....Wrong. Degree's are over rated. Experiance is what counts.

it was just a dead-end job with a restaurant, most frustrating because it was great working hours, worked with school, and flexible

Degrees ARE becoming a dime a dozen, just as much as a highschool diploma, but even more the reason to go for it. As much as I agree that experience is highly important, there are just too many positions out there you cant even be considered for anymore unless you have some form of degree, whether youre experienced or not. Which makes gaining experience even more tough. Its turned into no longer a bonus anymore, but rather a requirement.

I think too many people view college as the answer, but in my opinion, its just a necessity just to compete. It takes more than a piece of paper to get you anywhere today.
