I always here these sreious tracks that have this sort of pumpimg sound with the hats and kick...I'm pretty sure its compression but I'd just someone to expand on this...also I'm haveing a problem trying to figure out how to make that sort of kick that is used in a lot of progressive tunes..its like dum-da-dum-dum, dum-da-dum-dum..but the 3rd, 4th, and 5th kick are eq'ed differently so they don't pass off as the same kick...but I just can't figure out how to do this, or I just can't get the patterm down right.
Any help would be sweet. |

i'm not reallt sure what are you meaning but hardstyle bass sound may confuse others.. becouse fading sound dont come from compression..
hardstyle basses are made of kicks witch are reversed.. and then sound fades like b b b
try this and put also hard compressor |

| it's just the bassdrum and percussions, no dum da dum dum created by different bassdrums, i think! between the kicks, it's only percussion put in. |

| I think you mean the bassline, the bassline is thick and sounds a little like a bassdrum when it hits |

the dum-da-dum-dum of which you speak is bassline, plain and simple! the spaces inbetween are hats with mid range frequencies and some quiet toms/bongos/congas can help u fill in the lower ends of the spectrum!
