Depeche Mode was massive in the 80's...that "new wave" type of music. They been remixed all over the place!

You might have a point there....I have been a fan of Depeche Mode for years now and started noticing that their music,along with New Order, Kraftwerk, etc. somehow relates to Trance beats.
Newave might actually have some type of connection. |

Kraftwerk, New Order and to a lesser extent Depeche Mode are influential in the rise of trance but how about the most influential individual?
Giorgio Moroder of course, listen to 'I Feel Love' and you'll see the prototype for virtually all European trance, same year as 'TransEurope Express' but IMHO much more influential. |

| The guy behind Technotronic (the ones with "Pump up the jam" and "This beat is...") once said that Depeche Modes "Get the balance right" was the very first techno track. If you listen to that track today it actually resembles laid back trance. |
