Yes of course. You're indeed correct. He produces under Sultan, Soul Tan, Jiva.

However, the reason you have Sultan and Soul Tan is due to the fact that Deep Dish and Yooshi bought the rights for "Sultan." This is the reason why you see release on other labels under Soul Tan. Yooshi also has rights for The Greek, and for this reason when on other labels.. Tonedepth is used.

Ahh thanks for clarifying that, when in doubt check the actual vinyl sleeve

Yeah and notice how they spelt it "Tone depht" on the Please vinyl cover. I dunno if that's a misprint or another change of names?

Sultan is the alias he uses on the Yooshi Label. Since Yooshi has rights to that producer, he has to change his alias when releases stuff on some other label. So he uses the alias "Soul Tan" I think this was the explanation from sultan himself on his own message board..

Jiva = Sultan and Ned from Digital Witchcraft

I do agree Sultan is an amazing producer... and he's been supported by many big DJs.

He's my favorite DJ as well. He's been busy lately touring around the world and of course producing and I do miss his gigs in Montreal.

I have a blast each time he's at the decks... and i was lucky to support him in many clubs, afterhours and a couple of raves as well. Each new project i heard from him... takes me on a journey...

I do suggest to others fans to stop by Sultan's messageboard and say hello... I know he would be happy to hear from you and/or answers to your questions.

I also suggest you to read these interviews, it will answers to why he use Sultan or Soultan:

on RA
on [PS]

It would be hard to say which solo production i prefer from him .. but "Night Visions" and "Shivers" will always have a little something special in my heart... Sultan and his guitar...
I do really enjoy everything he has done with Tone Depth (the greek) and Ned from Digital Witchcraft(1/2 of Jiva)..

And he just completes a new track with Tommyboy from Hungary and I'm dyying to hear it...

patience... no choice
