Mark's last 9hr set for the month of Febuary was PURE INNOVATION to say the least...One of the HARDEST sets I've ever heard in the main room;

Here's a story to share with you all;
This guy I know approached me last night @ the club and asked me if I could host my pics without the logo on them?! when I asked why he told me that him and 4 of his buddies have been using the club pics for a recent marketing class project and they all passed with an A average! ...It was too hard for him to cut the logo out of the pics!! some people...

yeh, i never saw the link for docks photos when i posted that.
about that story...first of all, they have no right to use your photos without your consent. i think it is fairly arrogent of them to ask you to remove the logos after they have been using them without permission.
i think it is completely fine to ask for a small handful of pictures that will be useful to them with your permission, but these ppl are in marketing in school? you're not going to make it big in that business unless you get out there and do your own work. |

thanks Shaya for your kind words about my pics, great pics you got here too.
I must admit, my biggest IRK that I have about photography is people taking my photos without proper permissions and stuff. I've had it happen twice now, both times my logo was deleted and I wasn't even asked. If you ask me I have no problems, hell i'll give you the original but not asking me makes me QUITE angry.
I actually had a chat about this with Ryan Parks first time it happend. Photography is his living, you can only imagine if someone comes along and steals from you directly or takes credit for something you've done. |

sadly, very little can be done... I saw my pics being used many times with the logos removed, but what can you do, you can bitch at them (if you find the culprit), but alas thats about it.
The worst is that if those same people asked for the picture I would've gladly help them out... but bleh, people will never learn. |

I used some of Shaya's photos. I asked him though ;) Collaboration between his and mine. I compensated him by putting a link to his site on mine where the pics were used ;)
Plus...we all know the man plain as hell rocks ;) Go Shaya. |
