I'd like satellite radio a lot better if it were possible for any person to have a broadcast.
An fm radio or internet stream is something that any grass roots movement can have, but for satellite it's proprietary, you have to be in bed with XM or serius in order to get any airtime.
naturally the satelite radio would try to fill in the gaps that the rest of the media is missing, but it isn't an outlet for dance music as much as it is a way to get money from people who are pissed off at the regular radio.
When independant stations can easily and affordably get airtime on a non proprietary satellite radio, I'll sign up. |

Sorry to hear that
Radio is tricky, one day your on top, the next day your cleaning out your desk.
I havent paid attention to AM/FM radio for over 2 years now. theres so many holes in it. Satellite Radio is an indredible invention and I highly recommend it to the GDJB team.
Yea you have to pay for the service but honestly I would pay for no commercials and the specific music im looking for any day over free radio. plus its nationwide and you dont lose the signal no matter where you're driving |

it should be no surprise.
after all party 93.1 had poor programming, dance music, and that joke called GDJB.
Those of us in dance music community are celebrating its removal from the airwaves and are anticipating a new dance music station for Miami which will truly provide an artistic outlet for dance music and dj's. |

First decent comment that I've heard today. Anyway sometimes the change makes more and more money for the company that owns it. Back in 1993, they had an AM top 40 station called 680 that everyone listened to and they went to an all news station 24.7 live, every 30 mins, they have a complete newscast and it is now the most listened to station is all of Canada and they have made so much money for the parent company owned by Rogers Media |

| Not to worry folks, Expect an info posted soon at GlobalDJBroadcast.com regarding this matter, As of now, They still have options, So theres a definate possibility that the show will be picked up by another local radion station, So keep an eye on the site for when they update with info, I will post the info on the message boards. |

YES. They replay the Best of every wednesday at 7am EST. Not the best time but it gets me through the drive at work. |

! Sad Sad news. I hope GDJB gets picked up by ETN.fm because a) Highest Quality b) Possibility of commercial free GDJB.
I hope all this gets resolved until the next GDJB, I'm really looking forward to listening to Interstate! |

Ok guys, Heres some more info I found about the switch, This info posted from the Miami Herald website will offer insight on why the switch happen.
Party 93.1 switches to rock format
South Florida's dance music station Party 93 is now a rock and roller. The station abruptly switched formats late Monday and is now Rock 93.
The move comes three days after Clear Channel flipped its progressive rock station WZTA 94.9 FM to Hispanic urban on Friday, leaving fans of new rock groups such as Pearl Jam and Hoobastank in the lurch.
''Cox decided there is room for a second rocker,'' said Tom Taylor, editor of Inside Radio/M Street. ``The chessboard just changed again.''
The format change is the second for 93.1 FM. For years, until January 2002, it was classical station WTMI. Cox Radio then changed the call letters and format to WPYM and rhythmic dance music, which has had mediocre success as a radio format across the country.
Faced with less than stellar ratings and an opportunity to sweep up WZTA's fan base, Cox decided to make the switch before those listeners found new niches in stations such as Clear Channel's WBGG-FM 105.9, classic rock, or WHYI-FM 100.7, contemporary.
THe switch is also the third this year in South Florida's competitive radio market. Last month, WKAT-AM 1360 turned from classical into conservative news/talk. |
