Reverberate is proud to present one of Europes big techno talents. Joris Voorn has become very popular in the last couple of years. From starting djing in 1997, to now playing all over the world. In 2005 he has already played in places like Hong Kong, Barcelona, Berlin, Brazil - and he is further on going to play at more venues in Brazil, Netherlands, Germany, Croatia, Greece, UK and many, many more.
Tonight he is performing for us at the intimate and fresh venue Sikamikanico here in Oslo.
Joris' sound can be described as a mixture of house, techno and electro - varying from funky, minimal and deep, to more pumping, melodic atmospheric style with a detroit twist. Alexander Kowalski has described it as "soulful and uplifting" - and that's what it is. It's the unique sound of Joris Voorn.

Joris Voorn – biography:
Joris Voorn is a relatively new producer and DJ from Rotterdam in the netherlands.
Being raised up in a musical family, music became a big part of his life. In his early days Joris played the violin for over eight years, and later on changed to guitar.
Around 1995 electronic music caught his attention when for the first time he listened to music from artists like Orbital, Underworld, Leftfield and the Orb.
Getting deeper into the music when he started dj’ing in 1997, Joris developed an interest in deeper techno and house. Concerning his background, Joris started thinking about making his own music and bought the versatile MC-303 groovebox to experiment with synth sounds and drumloops.
End of 2000 Joris started building up a small studio to get more seriously into producing his music, wich lead to his first release called ‘muted trax pt.1’ on Keynote.
This first EP was quite a succes and got played out by people like Carl Craig, Laurent Garnier, dj Rush, Technasia and many more..
Since that time Joris released some EP’s on different labels like Keynote, Sound architecture, Line and Wolfskuil.
End 2003 ‘Lost memories Pt.1’ was released on technasia’s SINO label, and was followed up by ‘Lost memories Pt.2’ in May 2004 containing two killer tracks that already been played by many..
In 2004 Joris Voorn played LIVE at the famous Tresor club in Berlin, at the Awakenings festival in Amsterdam, at The Loft in Barcelona, the Movement Festival in Detroit and Kozzmozz in Gent, Belgium.
The full length debut album called ‘Future history’ came out on Sino last year, containing a wide range of tracks by Joris Voorn from the last three years. Future History' demonstrates Joris' talent as a musician and album crafter, alongside his already proven skills as a techno producer. It was well received and already has been played all around the world by many djs.

man kan jo alltids prøve å møte opp tidlig da, og håpe på det beste i døra. Er ikke alltid vakter er der fra 22.00 sharp.. Ellers er det jo alltid noen som ligner 10% på seg selv man kan låne leg av hehe.:rolleyes:

| jo, kanskje det. men tenkte jeg skulle få med alle venna mine ut også, så de får vært med på en skikkelig edm event og en ordentlig kveld på byen, i stedet for de tullestedene de drar med meg på med slitne dj'er som snurrer vg lista topp 20 på repeat |

godt poeng.. viktig å få folk som hører på "vanlig" musikk ut slik at man i det siste har sjans til å oppleve alt annet som finnes, og kanskje da finner noe man liker enda bedre.
