i just bought two trout from the supermarket to cook.

Trout are about the easiest fish in the whole wide world to clean. Scales are tiny and you don't need to scale them if you don't plan on eating the skin (it's good mind you, and a few strokes with a butter knife would just about remove all scales). Leave the head on or off, don't matter, since you won't eat it anyhow. Guts minimal, just scrape them out, there's not a bunch in there. Cook them to suit your taste (my wife's dept) and you're cool. I grew up eating trout. Now catch 15-20 stripers which involves some heavy duty cleaning.
