Swamper, there isn't anything much better than having a laugh imo.
Watch a few episodes of Ali G and see how funny Borat is when taking the piss on some unsuspecting people, I could use the word victim also, but I think thats taking it a little too far.
I learnt my lesson on this board as I was unaware how seriously people took things said to them on here, and the wide extent of personal information exchanged, but I'm not seeing a hell of alot wrong with a few funny posts on another forum. I'm sure you differ on that one.
I'll resist the temptation of offering opinions on the management of what is an excellent community of people which is done with little financial benefits however its a tough balance between creating the structure to encourage creativity with people that are interested in music and can tend to be not conformist and at the same time not letting things get out of hand, and thats your call really.
Self-governance is often the best way to let things run because no-one learns anything from being told what to do or say by the powers to be, but will often take advice from fellow members more seriously. I'd be looking seriously immature if I was to sit here and complain, because its easy to just post somewhere else, but seriously if its not hurting anyone and is done for the purpose of humour, as black as that humour may be, what really is the problem? |
