What are some websites that you think are cool and well-designed? I'm doing some research on web designers and I want to compile a list of user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing, easily navigable sites.
Thanks in advance! :p :toocool: :toocool: |

man, this sounds like what I do in class all day
I major in web design
I'll give you some if I find any. Most of them are terrible, focusing on a flashy eye-catching design, but with no real content, confusing navigation, and very little useful information.
ie: crobar has the worst site ever. |

Digweed's site is pretty nice, a bit of a problem if you are trying to find info quickly though
Carl Cox's new one is pretty good too, but on some of the pages all of the boxes and info on the lower half make it hard to find what you're looking for, which is bad from a new user perspective.
I like Cave's website (www.cave.no) for its simplicity and actually being frequently updated, and it has a lot of relevant content. I just wish they would display the content in more of the space instead of cramming it all on the right side.
Elevation's (www.djelevation.com) website (which I maintain) is good and straightforward, but I still think we need to improve it in the visual department...it's a bit bland right now. I didn't design it however ;) |

I'm looking through all the techno dj's websites right now.
So far I've got
http://www.michaelburkat.de/ as a pretty decent one
Speedy J's site is very cool graphically, but is confusing as all hell to use...the same goes for most of the other ones I've seen. Either that or they use Flash in overkill and have like 10 animations looping over and over in the corners or bottom of the screen which get very annoying and distracting. |
