So a friend of mine and I are debating on sky diving, how is the rush?
Is it a bigger rush ting in your pants before you jump rather than the jump itself?
let me know how it was for you and if you enjoyed it!:D |

Join the Army, go Airborne and feel the rush. More than free, you get paid for doing it.

I did it almost 2 years ago, it was awesome. You can't jump alone the first few times, you have to take courses on how to move in the air, etc.
I wasn't scared when I was on the door of the plane ready to jump, I was ting my pants before getting on the plane :stongue:
Anyway, when you jump, the first 5 seconds are the coolest, you get this feeling of "emptyness", just like when you bungy jump. Once you pick up speed its like floating on water. I think my free fall was 1min long, then the parachute ride like 4mins.
Now, jumping off a 25m waterfall was waaaayyy more scary and exciting :happy2: |

| yea its cool... cant realy say how it feels but your right the first few secs are cool when your upside down and you can see the plane go from big to ant size in less then a second! spirels with the shoot was the best part for me... you can get some real G's if you hold it long enough. go for it... its one of the best things i ever did but its not as much of a rush as something closer to the ground... cuz you cant realy tell how fast your going. |

If you have the opportunity, definately try it.
I did 4 static line jumps a few years back...kinda fun.
Thinking about doing a tandem or maybe a "supervised" freefall by myself (you're not attached to an instructor, but there's 2 of 'em jumping with you, just in case you get into trouble). |

I went paragliding one time. after wind dragging us along rocks and getting bloodied to we tried again. But instead of prepping the wing he did not-prepping which he apparently thought was just as good.
anyway we got about 100 feet in the air and then the wing crumples into a bowling ball sized knot. We fall, i break the top 20 feet or so off a 60 foot tree and then we fell 40 feet.
that was kind of like skydiving. Cept parachute didnt work.
Prolly wouldve been fun except for the impact part. Go for it |

| My topic finally! Skydiving is awesome. There's just no way to describe free fall. I absolutely suggest you do it. Sitting in the plane waiting for the jump can be nerve-wrecking the couple first times, but later you learn to enjoy that too. In my opinion the exit(when you leave the plane) is the most fundamental and adrenaline-filled moment of the jump. After that it's just plain cool. |

I went Parasailing in 2001 in Mallorca, you can make out the tiny dot that is me here
Anyway, it's weird cos im usually wimpy but I wanted to do it, it was a boiling hot day in May, 33c and I just thought 'what the hell' and it was an amazing experience. The wind hitting your face, and having all your thoughts up there as people gaze up your way, envious that they daren't do it. It's one of those feelings that I really cannot explain, and urge every1 with a chance to try it, esp in the med :D |
