PC setup/format for audio

Hi,
I'm looking for advice or links to articles on how best to set up your PC for a cubase production environment. I did do a search but couldn't find any relevant threads.
In particular...
How best to format your HD
Settings within Windows XP to optimise performance.
Settings for ram speed and/or overclocking (if any)
And any other general tips

Only thing i can really think of is, in your system settings check optimize for performance or whatever it is, and get rid of xp style buttons and taskbar...and just keep your drive clean of virus, spyware etc...check your registry from time to time.
As far as overclocking i haven't tried it with producing yet, but i will let you know once i get this one built...all i need is a hard drive and ram. |
