| i heard about this. i guess the guy raised $30,000 from the users to help fight the MPAA. but instead he gave the money to the MPAA to avoid prosecution and gave the MPAA all the server logs and like that. |

My favourite commercial is the one where the stunt coordinater tells you not to pirate films because then they lose money, they don't actualy make money off of royalties so they picked the absolute worst spokesperson for spreading the message.
Shutting down torrent sites is such BS though, they don't offer movies, they offer files that link you to where you can get movies.
It would be like shutting down cnet.com because they let you download kazaa. Same basic principal, both sites provide you with links to be able to download illegal software and movies and whatnot. |
