maybe I'll check it out then (but not the manga, cause they are too expensive). right now I'm watching Ai Yori Aoshi though. I'm halfway through the series.. It's ok, but went downhill after they moved back to that huge house. |

The first one is on par with Ghibli in terms of story, and the second one is just amazing.
On another note, I highly encourage EVERYONE to goto the-triad site, or just goto the scarywater tracker and get Beyond the Clouds.
Best animation ever, and the story is pretty good too! |
KOR is rated as one of the best anime ever for me. The only other anime series that are on par with KOR are SDF Macross and Ranma.
I'd never thought of seeing another KOR fan here on TA :p
There are also 3 KOR novels which continue the romantic saga [after the Summers Beginning movie]... They have been translated into English.

| i stopped watchin naruto cuz it went ing nowhere fast. they would be in the same place, in the same situation for like 5 episodes in a row. kinda like dragonball where they'd just talk about how they're gonna fight for like the whole episode but do absolutely nothing. |

meh, if you try to appreciate the Naruto anime, you probably will. The manga's better? there is better anime out there? okay...so read / watch those too.

BTC was some okay chilled late night viewing.
the animation was really lush and crisp and it had its tender moments.
more of a fan of my cool violent anim tho :p |

Nou, if you liked KOR, you should try watching Maison Ikkoku [if you havent done so already] ... it has that same nostalgic feeling. Although I liked KOR much more, it's still a great anime that's deserved to be called a classic! :)
I've yet to watch Beyond The Clouds yet... but I definitely have high expectations for it :D |

Hmmmm I think it's licensed by Viz Entertainment... I'm pretty sure you can buy it directly from Viz's website or even Amazon online. The DVDs might be on Amazon too? ;)
One old school anime series I really want to watch is Urusei Yatsara, again I would assume it would have the same tone as KOR and Maison Ikkoku, ahhhh I love that . :D |
