Granted, April has been rough, but look at May, you get Armin and Holden, plus DEMF just a couple hours away... In no way do I consider that "lackluster" ;)

G&D, Ferry, & Hernan all put on good shows recently too...

Okay, well, I do somewhat agree with you, Rob. April has been a bit rough, and May does look promising with Holden. Although, all good Djs, G&D were decent, I don't like Ferry, and Hernan's set was pretty monotonous, but that's just my opinion. However, I guess what I meant by lackluster is Godskitchen's inability to bring in Djs that Pure has been booking at Soundbar. Don't get me wrong either, Godskitchen has thrown some fantastic events, but Godskitchen needs to bring back Way Out West, Nick Warren, or even try Sander K, Sasha, Markus Schulz solo, Deep Dish, James Zabiela, Satoshi T, G-Pal, PQM, Saeed & Palaash, Infusion, but it's not even an issue of that either. Some of the best mixing I've heard recently seems to be coming more from the local or opener Djs...Kyle Szmurlo, Nic Fanciulli, Dj Dan, Mazi, James Lauer, Mike Khoury, and Luke Fair. Maybe it's just the beginning of a shift in talent and new replacing old. That's what I meant. At least, that is what I've observed.

OK... you get a +1 then :D

I'd love to see some of the folks Soundbar is boooking at a decent size club.

Since there is no main thread involving this event, I thought I'd post what I thought. For some reason, I thought this was the weekend ATB and Kyle Szmurlo were spinning, but I was wrong. A bit disappointed too, because I would love to see Kyle spin again. Anyways, I realized that back in '99, I saw Frankie Bones and Paul Anthony spin at a rave in Kenosha, WI. Maybe this would be a trip back down memory lane. The first Dj, the big dude, dropped some amazing, sick house tracks that were fast and twisted; he even scratched, and messed with some effects, but the tracks were awesome. After that, I lost interest in the music. I stepped out of my normal realm of musical choice coming to this event, and now I know why it was out of my realm; the music was too fast and too hard for me. However, it was nice to see some Djs still using the vinyl turntables at Vision. I can't remember the last time I saw a Dj at Vision using vinyl instead of the CDJs. Overall, it was an okay night for me, it wasn't that crowded, and Lucas managed to get eight of my friends in for free at the last minute. Nonetheless, I have never been disappointed with Godskitchen at Vision.

Hopefully, I'll see a few of you at Holden in May.
