Id be happy if signs(govt/municipal, not private) nationwide were bilingual
we claim to be a bilingual country, yet its restricted to one province, how lame is that. |

from what I understood, other languages (any other) cannot be bigger than French.
So let say you have french and english at the same size, French would have to be in bold to be predominent. |

Canada may be officially bilingual (for political purposes), but Canadians are not bilingual.
That is the reality. |

English/Chinese
English/Punjabi
English/Italian
English/Arabic
English/Portugeuse
English/Greek
etc
etc
etc
Virtually no French here. |

Its true guys, there may be small pockets of french groups in and around our other provinces west of Quebec, but there aren't enough French speaking people west of Ottawa to merit having bilingual french signs over bilingual chinese or russian or arabic. I believe the martitimes do have significant french speaking populations.
New Brunswick is the only official Bi lingual province in Ontario fyi. |
