How are your summer job searches going?
Mine is not going so well. This is the first year where I've been seriously looking for a summer job and it's really stressing me out.
Do any of you have any suggestions or tips about where to look, the process of looking, applying, etc?
It would be very helpful. |

Nursing Homes...dietary aide position.
take a food handlers certificate test for $10 bucks...then you're qualified when you pass. pass the resumes out every and anywhere...and expect a starting wage anywhere from like $10-20/h...fairly easy job (depending where you work) awesome money for students. make sure only nursing homes and not retirement homes, cause they only pay like $8/h lots of the time. |

I need to find a co-op job in the marketing field. The system that my school uses exclusively (Placepro) sucks, not many employers use it from what I've seen. In the past 2 months, I've seen exactly 11 potential postings for marketing related co-op jobs for this coming summer semester :( |

I have went through quite a few summer jobs, thats for sure !! Consider being a server, if you are at the right restaurant you could make 1000+ a week easy. In my area you have to apply in March, anytime after May all the good jobs are pretty much gone. I am not sure about Toronto though, it may be different. There is also a program for goverment student positions, there is a website where you apply, sorry I forget what it is ! |
