Perhaps you guys can help me with me next purchase. I'm looking for an audio interface compatible with Mac OSX (G5 with 64bit PCI-X slots). It doesn't have to be a PCI card based interface, though..Here are the main specs I'm looking for:
24bit/48khz minimum
at least one XLR mic Input
balanced stereo 1/4" outs
at least one 1/4" input (balanced/unbalanced)
Headphone Out
I don't own any hardware synths...I'm mainly just needing this to take some of the strain off my G5 cpu's, plus have the option of recording with a mic. I don't need a sublime mic pre, which is why I'm looking for a built in one. Just something to record when an idea strikes or something. I'd like to keep this around $100 to $150, max $200.
Anybody in here own the M-Audio Firwire Solo? It seems to have what I'm looking for, but I can't find any reviews for it anywhere...just wondering if you guys have any first hand experience with it?
