the rapture is the christian belief that at any moment, all the believers in christ, all those who are "saved" and live for jesus will be taken to heaven, and those are not will be left here on earth to endure the worst 7 years in the history of the world, with the anti-christ and all the judgements, etc. this period will be the last period to get mercy and be "saved", or else on the day of judgement, your thrown into the lake of fire all eternity.
paul said concerning those who are taken up, "they will not taste death before it happens."
thats just rapture in a nutshell, believe it or not. |

pertaining to the christain doctrine of the rapture, yes the apocalypse. but to the hollywood style astroid the size of texas hitting our planet. no. there is much more than one idea on how the apocalypse will occur and when. |
