An Idea for Trance: Bring in the Sitar

Structural and acoustic elements of the traditional Indian raga fused with 4/4. If you haven't heard classical Indian music, check some out and let this idea percolate.
Has it been done before? First person to say Goa wins a cookie. Not seriously, as far as I know, beyond token psychedelic sampling. I would work on the concept myself, but, uh, I don't play the sitar, and most other people don't, either. |
