Trainspotting Sasha.... (FUR in Washington, D.C.)

I just got back from FUR in Washington, D.C... It was an absolutely brilliant show, Sasha had me dancing for 3 hours non-stop.
Although I was paying close attention, I could only trainspot four songs the entire night. There was a little "Wavy Gravy" melody at the end, but I'm not counting that. Here's what he played:
1. Fisherspooner - Just Let Go (Thin White Duke remix)
2. Kraftwerk - Aerodynamik (Etienne De Crecy remix)
3. Donna Summer - I Feel Love
4. The Killers - Mr. Brightside (Thin White Duke w/ breakbeat remix)
It looks like Sasha is finally playing music that no one can recognize... Ableton Live! is a good thing. I am starting to recognize that before Live!, every DJ in the world had the same music as Sasha. Nowadays, no one can compete with him by doing simple CDJ/vinyl DJing... Sasha is really doing his homework by creating lots of custom-made samples and loops. The entire night had maybe 3 breakdowns. Non-stop banging beats and rolling basslines :)

| Yeah when he was in houston last october its was just a good but a bit shorter. Although he was using cdjs all i could spot was Sasha-Fundamental and his edit of cars go by. |

ableton live is really cool - a dj can insert a sample or loop into a track and the program automatically extends the sample or loop for the rest of the track - so dj's can now make remixes on the spot by just adding some samples and loops into a track - quite amazing program
dj's can be much more unique in their sets - rather than just playing the same tracks in a different order - they can totally change the track on the spot - very innovative and unique - nice to see the craft moving forward with ableton live and final scratch |
