i use vchemical all the time, simply because juno don't give you enough of the tune to listen to. with techno tracks, very often nothing much will happen for ages in the track, so only giving a 1.5 mins to listen to is bloody useless for me. 3.5 mins is short enough, but for some reason its the longest that any online record store gives you :/

Actually, www.4djsonly.com lets you hear the entire track ;)

Still, I'd never buy from em as their prices are ridiculously high

oh right, never used em hehe

i prefer chemical

I generally buy from Chem, with Juno I have to pay customs for some reason... I also have to pay customs for replay, I wonder what chem does that makes me not have to?

I just got an order from chem where 2 of the 3 records I ordered where broken, s at the postal services don't know what the hell Fragile handle with care means... And someone had opened it cause there where finger prints on them... bastards... Chem said they would replace them for me no problem, they will even pay for the return postage. good service!

That sucks dude, I swear some wankers do it on purpose! :(

Btw, you guys missed a valid point, Chemical do a lot of restocks, something that Juno dont do, unless there are represses.... :|

on the customs labels chemical will probably mark the items as 'gifts' to get around import taxes. very often thouhg, its not import taxes but handling fee's charged by carriers at your end. when my girlfriend bought her ipod from the US, she payed no import charges but pacelforce charged about 20 quid in handling fees :whip:

i use them both, great shops. juno has the best site, but chemical offers cheaper shipping.

I use them both as well - i have been completely satisfied with Chemical and Juno!

It is still cheaper to buy records from the UK then here in Australia most of the time, even when 1 pound = AU$2.50 and i have to pay for international shipping!

Both shops have their positives and negatives, but overall i would say that they are pretty even. I probably use Chemical a little bit more because of the cheaper shipping prices.

THey charge me import tax , I have to pay South african VAT (14%), plus some other tax that they have(Prob a handling fee), It all adds up to about 20% extra... bloody ridiculous.

Another thing no one mentioned, Chemical has better soundclips, I can't stand record stores where you hear 2 secs of a record and they expect you to buy it. Sometimes one only hears of a record that is good, and would like to get a clear picture of exactly whether it's worth it to buy it or not.
