Yep you are a true addict.
But if yr mates have a pair of decks, have a spin, and if you like it (you will) get some for yrself.
I would if i had enough money to spend on vinyls |

| i started by listening to josh wink.....then moved into listening robert miles.....then the cd tranceport changed everything when sasha, transa, oakenfold, matt darey were all exposed to me. Now i consider myself to have so much musik but yet im hoping for dat significant event that will trigger me into djing. |

josh wink-higher state of consciousness, oh the memories, i played that in one of my best gigs ever in late '95, and mr wink still rocks. when i heard some excellent music, it still gives me chills after so many years of djing. |

Yeah I think many of us are.. if not all..
I couldn't live without music, and listening to most of the so called DJs around here gives me the creep.
Started djing, but unfortunately I work every day except for Saturdays and Sundays. I don't find any time lately to get to the decks, since I get home exhausted and have some hours left till I have to go to bed again to get up early in the morning.
This sucks and it's killing me.
I'm quite disappointed about DJs today, most of them are only playing new stuff, they have lost their love to the music (did they ever love it or just doing it for money?), but there are exceptions like PvD which I appreciate very much. He uses to spin also old tracks, kinda his favourites and he has a specific style. That's what I like about DJs, they are connected to the music, spending time and money for the music, building up their own culture. And people can get in touch with this culture and enjoy it. This is being a DJ for me, and not so called Commercial DJs. I hope you understand what I mean.
Thanks for making me think about it. :o |

| its really weird cause less than a year ago i listened to nothing but punk rock, then a friend of mine introduced me to trance and showed me a bit of mixing. i started fiddling with vtt and making my own mixes and even played at a house party. beatmatching came very natural to me, and now i can't stop mixing. i'm totally ADDICTED to trance, and i'm dreaming of the day when i can buy some real dj equipment and start spinning at clubs and producing. i want to be a dj so badly, it must be the most rewarding job on earth. after seeing ferry corsten at the guv last month, becoming a dj has become my new goal in life, :p |

it all started with Robert Miles - Children...... Got the tape after hearing it somewhere...and well, from there I kinda slowly evoled into the electronic world.....
I don't think I can leave this place of music. Its a different world... Contains talents, ideas, and feelings you won't find in any other music.... A world not corrupted by money or government... an underground world, where we all have an understanding..... Lets face it, we all have a friend or two who just "doesn't understand the constant beat"...... Well, you realize, that there is a barrier, a seperation perhaps between you and that person.......Well, its true.... We are different, we have an understanding that over 30 million americans will never understand.... They prefer to listen to what they hear on the radio.... They prefer to give in to the world of bricks, where bricks pasted in the wall is nothing new..... Where financial corruption is everywhere.... They don't seek a better place, a more perfectly synthesized soundwave.....I don't have many comments on the "mainstreamers" or the "MTV Junkies in the US"...... They hear what is given to them, and for this, I look down on them. Their shallowness is revealed.....
Believe it or not guys, I have never done X in my life..... I am a true listener.... I have this understanding of it all.... not because of some "assistant" or "drug"..... I can reach that level with my own consciousness......and that, is a great feeling.
Now am I addicted? You tell me. I know I am.
"A sound that requires no words, and can move and motivate you like no other form of soundwaves... Welcome to my world of Trance. - ME" |

| Me neither i have never done X or any other pills. But its the musik......dat truely gets to me. I have had a lot of problems and stress and when i feel like going to a place of peace......This sound takes me there and gives me relief. ALL this epic trance and uplifting is like food for the soul. ONe day i hope to be at the very top of the list of djs. U.S djs have made it such as christopher lawrence, transa, sandra collins. Djing is a very lucrative business. Look at paul oakenfold he gat paid 35,000 dollars to play a 2 hour set here in houston. I know because my friend is the owner of the production company who brought him and dj doran joshua ryan and D-fuse. BUt if not djing at all.....then i hope to produce and express my feelings through trance like MATT DAREY. He rarely djs up until recently but all i gatta say is DAT WE ARE ALL UNDER THE SPELL OF TRANCE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Dude, I'm the most tranceaddicted person in Texas. I just started DJing too...hopefully I can come down to Houston to spin sometime. And yes, I cannot stand the DJ's here, even the ones that spin epic trance still don't know . |

Ahh, some fellow texans eh?
Well, I am an undercover addict. If you saw me, you would think I wouldn't know the difference between a turntable and a mixer..... I am the guy that just might go to a rave if its good enough, and know more about the music than 95% of the people there..... ahh yes, its a great feeling..... You are better off going to the east coast if you want to spin and go somewhere....... You can get big in Houston, but your name won't be known really anywhere else, unless ya travel a lot and have a lot of time......Not saying it can't happen, but there are a load of DJs around here just begging for recognition.....but they are everywhere aren't they? Atleast in the east coast, you can visit 3-4 major cities without having to travel for days... :) |
