okay here's the deal... i went and had a look at this tt today.. a pioneer something or other.. i dunno if its even supposed to be used for mixing. What caught me out was the pitch control on it.. it was this little vertical wheel thingy.. sorta like what you'd use to change the volume on a walkman..?? next to it was this small clear window with (4?) bands which spun faster or slower depending on which way u turned the pitch control wheel
does anyone know what im talking about here?? and does anyone know if this sorta deck would be usable for mixing...
i dont have alotta cash and wont have access to any for a while me thinks.. so technics are outa the equation...
any feedback would be great, cos im sposed to get back to the guy pretty soon
cheers

yea thats wat i was thinking...
umm but does it matter if the deck wasnt actually designed for djing if has pitch control (and it was direct drive too)
i havent come across anyone who's used decks with this sorta pitch control before thats all

| its a hifi table, and its not actually pitch control, its speed control, its for fine tuning certain records, its got like a 3% range if that. cuz certain records get pressed @ different speeds, and it doesnt sound right, so u speed up or slow down a bit. Mostly not used, and NOT AT ALL a Dj table |

| You can learn mixing on that one, but you'll have a really hard time.. plus when you move on to DJ TT's you won't be used to the pitch and that will give an even harder time... |
