You must be kidding.
Everyday we have a new thread about "trance clasics" :]
Lots of threads about the history of electronic music/trance too. Just do a few searches.
Actually i think a lot of TAs look at the past - and regret it.

01. PETER LUTS feat. NIVELLE (don't go) => DANCE = E

02. WITHIN TEMPTATION (memories) => METAL/HARDROCK what so ever = E

03. TITIYO (loving out of nothing) => DON'T SEEM TO BE EVEN this titiyo (on discogs) => E

04. DARREN HAYES (darkness) => NOTHING TO DO WITH TRANCE

05. COMMON DREAM (someone could) => surely DANCE = E

06. NU PAGADI (sweetest poison) => surely DANCE = E

07. SNOOP DOGG feat. PHARRELL (let's get blown) => HIP HOP = E

08. IAN VAN DAHL (inspiration) => DANCE = E

09. NIELS VAN GOGH (don't be afraid of tomorrow) => TRANCE (but 'm not even sure if it's a good track or not =p)

10. MORRISSEY (I have forgiven Jesus) => NOT ELECTRONIC (indie rock? what's that?) => NOTHING TO CARE

This thread is mostly clear. If you don't like it, you could go to another thread. It's not necessary to be impolite and aggressive. PETER LUTS and IAN VAN DAHL are doing trance-pop, believe or not and I'll be curious to know if you really like trance music and which artists.

PS: if you don't know this Niels Van Gogh track, I think you don't have your place on this forum :conf: I also think that you don't know anything about the charted tracks. So, you don't have to critize what you never heard. Thank you.

Open your mind, french TA :cool:

We know the styles you're talking about in your charts.
But i think you should try to open your mind. There are many electronic genres you haven't checked out i bet.
So go ahead, read this forum, check artists websites, check record shops, check discogs.com... it is way harder to find about electronic music than any of the pop genres/artists you've named in your charts.

You have to consider that my charts are really opened than other french charts because I use several sources like discogs. I listen and appreciate electronic musics; but I think this year is particullary touched by the lack of creativity in trance. Trance is becoming less popular (mostly in France) than two years ago and I regret that. My favorites are Blank and Jones, ATB, Nostrum, Schiller, Paul Van Dyk and Push but these artists went to the club scene 10 years ago. Nowadays, we don't have new talents to complet with them.

I don't think you can use the "trance is dead" argument that some use here, because you really sound new to edm; but maybe i'm wrong.
+ "this year" we're only in March m8 :]

10 years ago ? ATB ? lmao. ATB's cheese was popular in the eurodance charts 3 years ago, not ten, but now it's gone - what is not bad at all.
Trance has never been popular in France.
And just check out what happens/has been happening in France lately, the amount of trance nights has been truely increasing.

& we have new talents, just check the forums. The "peak" years are gone (98-2000?), but EDM is far from being dead.
