HOLY SOCAL FLOODS BATMAN!!!
noah, where is your ark when we need one? lol...water is filled up my entire street, overflown the curb, and is smothering my lawn in water as we speak. another inch or so of constant rain, and my bedroom is gonna be it's next target, as i live on the ground floor in a room that does not have a raised foundation (although if it keeps raining like this for a few more days, and none of my house will be safe).
i'll uploads pics later today, but this is crazy, unheard of here in cerritos man....the drains were beyond overworked, they didn't have the capacity to flush out all the water...i was standing almost knee deep in the water on the street... we had to move the wan in the driveway, cuz in two more minutes, we would've had a floating van...you could see the exhaust bubbling cuz the water had surrounded the exhaust pipe, and probably made it's way into the catalytic converter too, i'm gonna have to go get that checked. |

| That sucks! They shut the 5 down on us for our drive home to San Diego from Heaven on Friday because it was under a foot of water. I think we also drove right through the thundercell that created those 3 small tornadoes. This so doesn't happen around here! |

I was watching the news this morning and they were saying another storm was about to hit SoCal and it was bigger than any of the ones that have hit there in the last week....which probably means we'll get it up here in SF (since the rain we've been getting has been flowing up here from down there)

Ugh I've been dreading the rain here for a while. I mean I really wouldnt even mind a downpour but like all this ona nd off thunderstorm crap is getting on my nerves.
I hope it doesn't start flooding up here too... Didn't the embarcadero get all flooded last month or something? |

I spent much of today pumping water out from under my house. I didn't realize that the rain gutters were rusted out underneath. So all the water that ran off the house went right down the side of the house settling under my livingroom.
Couple of trips to Home Depot later problem jerryriggingly solved. Got to work late and everybody I talked to wanted something done yesterday.
The company I called to fix the gutters can't do it for six weeks.
Bastards.
Thank god for red wine.
p.s. It is a beautifull full moon tonight. |
