yah dude, they did, and it was HOOOOJ! i was so glad to hear it, i couldn't stop smiling throughout the whole set and that was just the icing on the cake. after hearing that they aren't very good live, i was super impressed w/ the show and the mixing. they started off using decks and cdj's i think, and then moved onto the powerbook. some GREAT tracks in their set, i'd be interested in both a setlist and pics too :p
track of the night... the killers song w/ lyrics "it was only a kiss"...can't remember the name of it, but man, what a bomb to drop on the crowd :D :D
can't wait to see them @ WMC!!!!!! |

glad you all had a good time..I was thinking about going but was tired from 12 hours of work earlier that day.
I woke up with this morning and had a voicemail from Kael, whom many of you know. Ya hes the guy in the Ultra video from last years WMC. It was five minutes of music, I have no idea which song, along with people talking in the background. So I got a glimpse of how it was :D |

They only used the cdj-1000 for the opening track

that song was The Killers - Mr. Brightside (Jacques Lu Cont's Thin White Duke remix), i believe :) |

Phew! That makes me feel a lot better :)
Truth be told I wish I had met more of the TA's, but like I said, I'm a real shy kid, especially in a club setting where there are just a ton of attractive people around me and I think I'm just some random kid from middle of no where central Wisco... it's times like that when I just tune out the idea of individuals in the crowd and just dance my ass off, which I proceeded to do after embarassing myself on Saturday night!
I did have a great time though, and it was very nice to meet you (briefly) as well. I think I'm making the trek to Hernan in two weeks, but not sure. I don't know anyone in Chicago, and a drive back to SP after a late night show at Vision is just out of the question. Next time I'll make a genuine effort to overcome nerves and just try to seek out the TA's!
One other question for Wolverine16: Was that you on stage basically for the entire end of the night? I thought that whoever that dude was it kinda looked like your avatar, but I wasn't about to break up the time he (you?) was having :stongue: !
In any event, it was a great night, I really enjoyed it, and like I said the ONLY thing I really wasn't into was the whole "Beautiful Things" experience... but I can't complain, I got to hear almost everything I wanted to hear, including "Sub" so I was real happy.
Can't wait for the next "big thing."

nice meeting you too - glad you got a chance to talk with mazi :) i guess one of the opening djs (can't remember which one - mazi told me but i forget) dropped one of his new tracks and wanted to see how the crowd reacted to it. |
