Just a bit of friendly advise (that you may or may not be aware of...I certainly wasnt for a while)
Joint stereo mode lets you create smaller MP3 files by comparing the left and right audio signals and eliminating any material that is the same in both channels. Using this option usually degrades the audio quality, so I would advise against it unless you really need smaller MP3 files to save bandwidth volume.
Choosing "Stereo", highest quality > fastest encoding speed, is the best way to go, imo.
