Pink Floyd is brilliant

Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day
You fritter and waste the hours in an off-hand way
Kicking around on a piece of ground in your home town
Waiting for someone or something to show you the way
Tired of lying in the sunshine staying home to watch the rain
You are young and life is long and there is time to kill today
And then the one day you find ten years have got behind you
No one told you when to run, you missed the starting gun
And you run and you run to catch up with the sun, but it's
sinking
And racing around to come up behind you again
The sun is the same in the relative way, but you're older
And shorter of breath and one day closer to death
Every year is getting shorter, never seem to find the time
Plans that either come to naught or half a page of scribbled
lines
Hanging on in quiet desparation in the English way
The time is gone the song is over, thought I'd something more to
say
I love these guys. I think its my favorite album series ever created. Such a brilliant commentary. |

they created truely timeless music about reality and losing touch with it. It doesn't matter when someone first hears them, it will always ring true for so many.
:wtf: they rock. |

Well, you'll be waiting forever... David Gilmour, in an interview a couple of years ago said that Pink Floyd would not be releasing any new material nor touring anymore.... I know, that's what all the old timers say, but, Gilmour isn't known for talking hypotheticals or for doing interviews for the hell of it, so, there is good reason to believe him....
THAT SUCKS!!!! AHHHHH!!!!!! It would complete the innermost circles of my soul to tast but a few moments of live Floyd.... Pink Floyd is the reason I am even trying to make it in music... They defined the original term, "Progressive" before DJing was even a concept....Every major rock band with any iota of deph owes so much to them....Electronica as we know it owes everything to these Pioneers of Progressive Rock... One day I'm gonna re-mix all of Darkside.... |

I prefer Dark Side of the Moon, but I cant honestly say I don't enjoy any of their output...
My sister saw them on tour here in the early 90s and to day day talks about how fantastic the show was.. |

Oh, for you potheads and regular stoners please try the album "Dark Side of the Moon" with the movie "Wizard of Oz". Hit play on your CD player after the third roar from the MGM Lion at the beginning of movie.
This is absolutely brilliant the sychronicity of the movie with the album. They call this masterpiece "The Darkside of Oz" and us stoners here in Toronto having a monthly viewing once a month at the Bloor Cinema. At the theatre it's already cued up and it takes you on the wildest journey you've ever been on...See for yourself!!!
Anyone from Toronto should try their first viewing at the Bloor Cinema because on average there's like about 500-600 people watching this stoned together.
For the record, management at the movie allows everyone to bring pot, bongs and all their marijuana tools for this amazing joy ride.
No joke it is like Woodstock in a movie theatre!!! :toocool: |
