2,000 pre sale tickets already sold wow this is gonna be a MAJOR EVENING this thread needs some more hype CROBAR has never seen energy the way it will 2morrow night im pumped!!!! this willbe my 11th Tiesto performence from miami to toronto! To all the critics Tiesto may not be the best mixer we all know that but no one can take u on a journey and place songs in a set the way he does..Nobody can sellout a 25,000 arena 4 shows in a row ALONE !!! NOBODY!! give some respect i'll be back :haha: :haha: :haha: |
personally as a LONGtime tiesto fan, what you just stated about his increased popularity and the fact he can sellout packed arenas, doesnt make me happy or excited at all..i miss the days when i used to be able to go to a tijs gig and i didnt get two toes broken and three elbows to the face because the venue was too packed, i miss the more intimate encounters circa 2003...its not that im not happy for the man's success, its just that its not quite the same...plus his consistency is way off and he is prone to only having great sets only every once and awhile in north america, particularlly club space and the docks, toronto...but at the same time WHEN he is on his game there is nobody better imho, but you just got to catch him at the right venue, his next great performance most likely will be at space on march 24th wmc, i wouldnt expect too much before then. |

Those days maybe over, but at least this time is on a Wednsday night, which means it will not be as packed as it would have been on a weekend...

Which is why I cant get into him, why do we have to go to certain places in order to get a good show out of him. He should be able to play his best anywhere and everywhere - given, not everyone does - but someone with that kind of talent should be able to do it. |

VLAD the man tours out of control year round almost, sometimes doing 20 shows in 25days...that increased touring=diluted quality; from exhaustion, mental fatigue, possibly boredom, and other physical and mental factors that are draining to a dj that is as IN DEMAND as he is, pvd is going thru the same thing...im not making excuses for him but the my case can be made...but it is very unrealisitc to expect him to be great every city, every event, every tour, no matter how hard he may try..put yourself in his shoes, the muthafocker is very busy:D ;) |

Yea well the fact that hes only in NYC once a year, maybe twice... should give him enough reason to try to make it good. Than again whose not to say he didnt spin well at Summerstage, but it just didnt do anything for me - his mixing was good, but his flow was somewhat all over the place and kept throwing me off. Ill never forget the great build up he made up until he played Street Spirit (Tiesto Mix) and I was jumping around, than he threw on some slow breaks song and I was left standing there like... :wtf: :whip:
But I do understand the physical drain and strain that is constantly touring and stuff - its definitely not easy too keep going like that. |

mattivi is absolutely right. I caught Tijs in the middle of his last tour in the US, last december. he was exhausted but he was so damn good anyway. I really feel bad for whose guys who travel all around the world and people expect them to be fresh and energetic and have a smile on the face 24/7. he is human and he is great.
I'm coming, i'm not sure only about what to wear - my fave "Ik ben een Tijs-meid" shirt or appeared naked? |
