Let me first say this: A younger crowd brings more energy. This is good.
That said, let me then say this: Clubs that bring big DJ's are 21+ for a reason. The reason is money. Alcohol = huge profit.
Face that fact, and get over it. Quit your whining about being under 21. It's life. Go cry in your pillow. I don't want to hear it.
Can any average "all ages or 18+" club bring in a A list DJ? Hell no. They know a meager cover charge won't cover their expenses. Only a massive can bring the big DJ's to a younger crowd, its the law of averages.
So, until you are 21, just keep on listening to the music. You'll enjoy it all that much more once you can get in. |

The bigger issue is why our retarded ass country will let an 18 year old kill and die in the army yet he cant have a drink at a club...or anywhere for that matter... |

| Screw the 18-20 crowd. I had to suffer those three years knowing every damn DJ I liked played in 21+ clubs so I say all 18-20 year olds should suffer too!! |

Maybe it's because of license issues?
And to note, I moved to SF when I was 20 years, 9 1/2 months old, from Orlando, Florida...I had to deal with the there, too...so you must suffer!!!
Also, yeah, the 21+ drinking laws are state laws, not federal. There is the National Minimum Drinking Age Act of 1984 which states, as already said, if a state doesn't have their BUYING and PUBLIC POSESSION age set to at least 21 you get little in transportation funding.
Oddly, this act does not pertain to the age for actually drinking alocohol, only buying and posessing it in public places. But most states pretty much covers the basis of making it illegal to drink in private places too. I believe Alaska, Colorado, Georgia, Indiana, Iowa, and Ohio are some states that you can be under 21 and drink in your own home, but only if give to you by your parents.
The reason the 21+ laws exist is because of driving accidents. It was 18+ for so long because of the fact that it was believed if you were allowed to be in the military or allowed to vote, you should be able to drink. But too many driving accidents and deaths related to alcohol was a different story. And all the statistics since the change prove their point. |
