Reinstalled everything on the computer.
Computer is integrated so after I installed Windows Media Centre naturaly I grabbed the driver disc that came with it. Unfortunately the CD doesn't let me run the program so I've been trying to install random drivers on it to try and make the internet work. The disc that comes with the computer and is for all the integrated devices seams to be of no help.
Device manager is telling me that 2 unknown devices are not functioning properly: an ethernet controller and another that I installed a random driver for and it seams to work now (it was a PCI controller I believe).
So my problem is getting the ethernet controller and whatnot to work and after going through the documentation on it and whatnot nothing seams to work.
Any helo is appreciated. |

do you know the motherboard model name?
if you dont, at the bootup screen, a whole bunch of letters and numbers appear at the bottom of the screen (you know the RAM count meter thingy and detecting IDE drives etc.)
write down the numbers and letters, post it here and i may be able to help |

BWAAAAHAHHAHAAAAAA!!!! Quote of Day for someone who can't connect!
Dude, your Ethernet drivers have to work, else you ain't never gonna connect on a cable modem. If you have a Dial Up, then your Modem simply has to work.

Pretty sad though that it took all that when the CD it came with should have worked . Thanks for all the help people. |

I would have loved to if I hadn't had a time constraint on putting the system together considering I could have built myself a monster of a computer.
Unfortunately I couldn't but this suits me just fine, I'm installing all my games on it right now :). |
