Yeah Im not sure whats up, apparently the club isnt making enough on fridays, but I thought I woulda been opening for peter if I had gotten to play firdays. I wonder who is playing before me tho? |

| Werd. I would love to promte a lot more and get people to go, but its hard to do that when we don't know who's playing. Look at Mardis Gras. All those people planned on seeing us and then they got mad when they had hip-hop. We lost some good loyal people. |

Yes, as an attendee, the lack of publicity/responsibility is irksome.
If someone I want to see is playing, I'll show up.
Announcing acts, then never officially cancelling them (like Edgar V last week) doesn't do much to make me loyal to the club, or have much faith in the promoters.
I'll go to support someone I like _IF_ I know they're playing--advertising a genre of music (Electronica) & then not delivering doesn't build a reliable crowd.
That said---I will try hard to make it out to see you Matthias--I have something going on earlier, but will come by late, hopefully right when you're going on at midnight. |

Well the same thing happened to 106.7 FM in the DFW area. It may have been a cheesy radio station, but still, them selling out was a shame.
The UT campus would be a great place to advertise, but the majority of the people who listen to trance there are lazy asses who just aren't of the clubbing type. And they also like to listen to cheese too, until they meet me, that is...that's when I start to slowly convert them into the dark world of progressive! BUAHAHAHHAAA!!! :disbelief
Anyways, as for this weekend, I don't think I can make it yet again. I've been quite...busy to say the least. |

That is true...and I agree. The main reason I agreed to playing tomorrow night was because I was already going to be in Austin anyway friday night. Originally was going to hang out with a few friends I met on myspace (natalie and amy (stated elmo) from teknosounds who will be with me at Eternal as well. BTW if anyone has any good ideas for an afterparty I would be down, I dont gotta be back in houston until monday morning for work. |

Jojo needs to read some of the things that his customers are saying if he's going to make this machine successful. It has always had potential, but there are certain things to do and not to do if that potential is going to be realised. There are a bunch of us that can do a lot of good promotion IF we had solid information to promote, and if we had faith in the club. As Edie (tmft) and Dave were saying, there are reasons why people aren't loyal to Eternal. After all, what reasons to be loyal have they been given?
