purgatory was all 3xosc, simsynth + ts404, no external vst's or fx.
id post the flp but it's signed and i am in the process of making a 2005 remix probably for release in the last 3rd of the year
i will help judge, but i'm not sticking for the time being it coz no1 reads them lol. i do intend to clean up the stickies but when i can be arsed or know how im gonna do it first

that is a very cool prize.
im working on my psy tune at the mo. using boobass and dx10 for bass and ts404 for the acid. so far using only fruity hihats and fruity fx. got a lush pad out of the dx 10. havent really used sytrus that much cuz i find that programming it is weird.
can we post bits and peices of our tunes before the deadline? if we do post some of it can we make revisions to it up until the deadline? |

Anyone making any real progress?
I had no idea programming a bassline in 3xosc would be so difficult, i spent like 2 hours coming up with something that is just starting to sound okay. This track will take me a while |

| yeah its not an easy task to get good sounds. heres a hint use dx10 for basslines. |

| 3osc is more than alright for sub basses, tho other things need using for a mid/main bass |

havent used 3osc yet. heres the basics ive got at the moment:

its part psy, part trance. bit of a weird combo of both and its a bit raw at the moment.
sytrus doing the lead duty. the opening pad is simsynth (currently my fav of the internal synths cuz it feels familiar to program. also capable of some wicked sounds!) boobass is doing the bass duty. a bit blurry but its got some wallop. wish it was a bit more programmable.
and theres a 303 acid line with the ts404. im gonna rework the 303 line - the filter cutoff on that thing is so ! the kick drum is synthesized in soundforge from a 60hz sinewave and im proud to say is completely my own work! ^__________^ :grin:
the hats were all programmed out of single shots, most of which are fruity internal in the packs folder. i had to use some meanbeat hats because the ones that come with floops suck! |
