What's GOA and PSY trance sound like???

i've been a sheltered TA...i've read a few times about GOA and PSY trance, but have no idea what the stuff sounds like....can someone recomend some good tunes from these two subgenres that i might want to check out???!!!!
who knows i might like the stuff like i like Happy Hardcore!
ok that was a joke:D...i used to listen to progressive a little at first but now all the time since i like the stuff!

| goa has a very trippy, psycadelic sound to it. whenever i heart it i can think of shapes and sounds moving around. check out anything by astral projection, infected mushroom, hallucinogen, or goa gill. personally i love it! |

it uses eastern scale, so it has an oriental sound to it. all the original stuff was released years ago, this style has pretty much exhausted itself out.
as choices for classics of this genre my suggestions would be
Man with no name-teleport
transwave- cycles of life
doof-lets turn on
astral projection-mahadeva

| If you want to hear vintage Goa Trance I'd suggest checking out either of the two 'Voyage Into Trance' compilations mixed by Paul Oakenfold and Danny Rampling on the Dragonfly Label. |

Psy trance is some bass with alot of sound effects some times they craet a melody out of thoes effects.

it sound really nice :):):) paul oakenfold's voyage into trance cd and the goa mixes (dec 18 1994) might give you some sense about it
but anything from astral projection, infected mushroom, shakta, shpongle, lsd, man with no name, and hallucinogen is perfect goa-trance, psychedelic-trance to hear |

Well, after a little research, I see why I was confused!
There's actually 2 mixes called A voyage into trance.. The one I heard was by purple. The one the other guy was talking about was by Paul Oakenfold.. :D |

Juno Reactor - Pistolero (not exactly trance, but VERY innovative)
Space Tribe - Turn Off Your Mind ... Relax ... Float Downstream ...
Tim Schuldt - Return to 2nd Earth
If you wanna hear some crazy goa with multiple layers of melodies, check out the artist Pleiadians... tracks like Maia, Taygeta, and Jungle Trax, etc...
