I dont mind the hard trance myself... personally its the majority of whats in my vinyl boxes... Ill admit like every other type of trance there is alot of out there. I mainly like hard acid stuff tho but i more prefer the bulidups with harder trance over the more prog or faster UK stuff which seems to carry on a very constant sound.
I guess iam just fussy i like a slightly harder beat but i dont like hardstyle... and would rather stick my in a blender than listen to gabba.
but if your after someone who wont cry and get offended when you dont like PVD i guess iam ur man :toothless |

True but hardstyle is often discribed as "nu skool" gabba... I was just using two styles i dislike.... Also just out of curiosity does anyone around here acctually like Gabba? I mean i listen too it for a laugh when browsing the online stations... Just wondering who accually digs on teh over 220bpm sounds
...As for happy hardcore your on your own there |

I went to one rave here in Mo-town expecting some good hard trance or NRG and instead all I got was house and gabba. I hated it, but it seemed like all the other pin striped Mexicans loved it, bleh. Worst rave I've ever been too, but then come on, it was a Modesto rave. |

I'm listening to syntone cried out (silverblue mix) right now I like it. I would describe it as a mix between hard and progressive nrg like trance. I'm not a genrelist if it's good I like to hear it.
If you are a fan of hardnrg etc.. I'd love to hear some suggestions for good tracks to listen to. |

Either way not my cuppa tea... also good to see people around here who acctually like hard trance. |

So Im sure you guys have seen me wandering around the threads posting here 'n there... What I've noticed with TA is that progressive seems to be the flavor of choice- trance wise. Am I mistaken? I have been searching for comments on hard trance and nrg and its slim pickings for those types of threads. Do you guys enjoy that type of trance as well? Im kind of getting the same vibes from a couple of my DJ friends that I practice with. I'll take a break from spinning and I'll ask for feed back from them and I can tell by the tone of their voice that they werent really feeling the track. I guess maybe Im living in the past? Is hard trance & NRG not "in" any more?
Your thoughts please. |
My thoughts...
Please don't waste your energy on what's "in" or not...
Just enjoy the music..
Good track or not.. It's up to you to decide  |

Good track or not.. It's up to you to decide  | Well, yes, I wil always play what I like to hear. It is, however, important as an aspiring dj to keep an ear open for changing trends and what is in at the moment in order to keep the crowd happy. I would hate to play something that I love just to have somebody's drink thrown on me and tell me I suck lol :toocool: |
