It's a small, stand alone, easy-to-use program that gets rid of advertising "spy" programs hidden in your system. I found about a dozen of 'em in my computer...thank God I bothered to check! The system scan is fast too.

Description
Ad-aware scans your memory, Registry, and hard drives for software components from Alexa (through 5.0), Aureate (1.0, 2.0, and 3.0), Comet Cursor (through 3.0), Cydoor, Doubleclick, DSSAgent,EzUla, Expedioware, EverAd, Flyswat, Gator, Gratisware, HotBar, OnFlow, TimeSink (through 5.0), Transponder, Web3000, Webhancer, and more. Ad-aware then displays a list of detected spyware modules, Registry keys, files, and folders, and allows you to remove them from your system selectively.
This update supports removal of EzUla, Expedioware, and Transponder modules, and features an "exclude" option to ignore modules you want to keep.
Note: Some advertisement-supported software may not work after the ad-monitoring components have been removed. If you run Ad-aware under Windows NT/2000, you may need to log in with administrator privileges. If you are upgrading from a version prior to 4.0, remove the Ad-aware folder or uninstall it before installing this new version. |

| mhmm ive been using that for a while....good stuff.....to everyone who uses audiogalaxy(i do) and probably other file sharing progs, DL this and use it...because i know for sure that audiogalaxy puts spyware on your comp and the others probably do too....thats it for me:) |
