I think that's what he means, at least. the professor there is a story that can accompany the light show given by the someone wearing the light fingers... it is an "oral tradition" of sorts, as far as the story goes... it is passed from one party kid to another .. i have yet to locate it written down anywhere... from a historical point of view it seems to parallel the basis of a rave... much like tribal gathering dancing under the stars, oral tradition of stories has been a thing that society seems to always undertake...
