Very good topic, although it's hard to give an exact answer to it ...
any way, i remmber this first style of music
before 10 years, when the first trackers where invented, music from 91 and so,
today it mostly recognayed as goa..

and the first goa i know is juan - spiritual healing ....

house music i can't hardly tell,
cause in israel, where i come from
songs like verachocha - carte blanche are house, although the GU is house,
so i can't sure, don't think that carte was my first :-)
Maxximum
Seems to be for me :

The Age of Love - The Age of Love (Jam & Spoon Remix)...

that's back to 92/93 i guess.....
(original edition is 1989 on Diki)

in Request of Suzaku and Adjboy reply....actually Adjboy is right Robert
Miles isnt Trance...his music is considered Dream House.... but it sounds like Trance so if thats what made Suzaku get into trance then its all good!it sometimes all sounds the same anyway! actually alot of songs have Techno, house and Trance all together so its hard to really put a genre on alot of songs!.

nice topic! i must say, my first trance track would be arrakis - the spice. after listening to that, trance has been my mainstream ever since! I also remember this track by sundance called sundance '98. that's when i realized trance doesn't even have to heard at dance clubs, raves, etc. You can just relax and chill with some trance tracks also. save the house for the clubs, trance anytime anywhere. peace

Bellissima kicks ass, btw!!!!

I haven't heard a song that's at all like it....

I'd say my first trance song would also be Blue Monday by New Order...

I used to listen to trance on the radio back in 95!!!

WTF happened to radio, now it's all mostly , if u peeps in europe can hear decent music on radio, I envy you!!!
FREAX
Cant remember what was the first......
Dont even know what i should call first trance number, so ill write down what must be one of my first HOUSE numbers, a number of that period.

About end 80's, early 90's,

The Deathkirks - Mr Kirk, bla bla
Mastersonic
josh wink - higher state of consciousness

but didnt' fall inlove untill
traceport 1
allure
My very first Dance/trance song was faithless - Salva Mea but that wasn't the one why i love trance so much nowadays.
The first 2 trance songs i liked very much were carlos - the silmarilia and brainbug - nightmare
I became a real trance fan after i heard MV&B - Limits (A Kick Ass Song With Samples Of U2's New Years Eve (the piano) )

I am very new to the world of trance and house ( I started listening to it about 1 year ago). My friend let me listen to some of his stuff and I was hooked so much that it's, for the most part, all I listen to. My first trance song that I ever heard was Paul Oakenfold's @home in space in Ibiza part 1.
Meistro
Jam & Spoon - Right In The Night Owns! First heard that song when I was 10 yrs old, so I guess that would have to be my fave Trance track that I've heard.

To DJ Furee:

The UK's Radio 1 broadcasts on the internet: www.bbc.co.uk/radio1 and click on Listen

Mark and Lard's show is hilarious, as is Chris Moyles. Dave Pearce, Pete Tong, Judge Jules and Danny Rampling all have dance shows. Dreem Teem play UK garage and Tim Westwood plays Rap.

I don't know if it's my machine or their server but their site has been really slow today.

my 1st trance track was bbe - seven days and one week.

the track that really did it for me was.

paul van dyk - for an angel

that is still a banging tune especially the synergy with jps - found an angel
