hi guyz n galz

ok, so i have a track and at the end i want the tempo 2 slow down, using those automation clips that fl studio 5 has now.

the probem is, i can only seem to automate the whole numbers and not the decimal numbers, resulting in very jerky tempo change, which reflects a lot in my synth that has delay on it..

anyone know how 2 make this a SMOOTH automation...?

thanx,

i think the best way for you to achieve the slowdown would be to do it externally in a program like Cool Edit or Soundforge.

Im not at home right now, so its not sure im right, but i pretty sure that you can right click on he decimals instead of the whole numbers.
At least its worth a try

nah, i tried right clicking the decimals and nothing happens...

as for soundforge (or any other audi editing program), slowing it down that way would drastically reduce quality wouldnt it..? ;)

Can you use an automation clip with the tempo in fruity loops? :wtf:

If so...just in the bottom of the playlist where it does the automation...use the dots on the ends of the lines to bring it up or down...and the middle circle to curve it

Instead of clicking 'edit events' for the tempo change, click 'make automation clip'. thats how you make an automation clip.

You can make tempo changes in FL4 also, just go to edit events on the when you right click the tempo, but yeah FL5 is awesome.

lol, guys u dont understand...

i know how 2 use automation clips and such.

the problem is can only automate the whole numbers and not the decimal numbers of the tempo, resulting in very jerky automation and artifacts in the audio..

1 solution by Jake Conlon was to slow it down in an external audio editing program, but that would decrease quality alot in that section...

maybe ill 4get about slowing down the track then...unless someone knows a way round this problem...ill wait couple a days

You can ReWire FL to Cubase. from there, do the tempo change. should work.

Whole numbers should work just fine, as long as you automate it slowly enough.

hmmm, yea cubase should do it...even tho i dont have it and have never used it be4..lol

i think ill leave out the 'slowdown' at this point..

UphoricNitemare: it doesnt matter how slow i automate the whole numbers. the difference between 135 and 134 is already a noticable difference...

thanx guys ^^
