Im not to happy after the hawks performance today. They didnt show anything at all. Our top players if we have any besides Everitt, Crawf, Hodge Smith are having to do to much at times.
We have so many middle range players who have been there for a few years now that really need to step up. Guys like Sewell, Campbell (think he done a knee today), Ladson, Williams, Lonie, Osborne to name a few.
Glad Bateman is finding the ball and dixon is always in for a contest..Looking promising there. Holland started well lets hope he can string a a few good ones together although he needs to go back and have a kick sometimes rather then handing it off to often.
It just doesent seem they want it as much and too many costly little fumbles and indecisive decisions. Lets hope we can pik up a win next week against the hapless tigerts who are on the same boat as us atm. |

Man they put the effort in...thats all that matters. In the end the more talented side won.

They are a young/predominantly inexperienced side who have been put in a lot of pressure lately. All u can expect is that they put in 100%, and to me, they did that until the final siren against Sydney. I was happy with the effort, dissapointed it didnt show on the scoreboard. |

Holland was once a Norich Rising Star Winner which means he must have some talent. Yeh we should have got rid of him years ago but we cant now, we are stuck with him for at least another year. So rather then rubbish him why not give him a bit of confidence and he could easily be a better centre half forward then Whitnall (little miss piggy's son).
U know ur talking when u say they put in 100%. Thats a bunch of trash talk right there. How many times did we go backwards? how many times did simple handpasses not hit the target coz they cant even do the simple things like handpass in front of the running player. We dont have the greatest list in the comp but we played way under our standards.
Just my 4cents..no hard feelings :)
BTW i went shocking in the tips this week. I dont know what i was thinking. I should go with my gut feeling coz they always seem to work although im not the type to take chances. |

lol...i got 5 this week.
i understand about holland and all the other . he was awesome (ala 2001) but his injuries have cost him. his confidence is at the lowest of lows and itll take him time to get it back-but he's already too old. also, its not gonna happen when he keeps giving the ball to a teammate when u knew he could have kicked a goal from there... that pissed me off.
When i say they put in 100% i meant they actually tried. So many times last season(and other seasons before that) i remember seeing the players not even running to the ball...just not giving a . on sunday they tried, they went for the ball, they helped each other. there's a difference between trying and performing...kicking the ball backwards and making mistakes doesnt mean they weren't trying. |
