Question for the video editing experts, CRT or LCDs?

I am into digital editing and was wondering about this I had an old Dell P991 CRT that was terrific, the color, black, gray and white levels were pure, but after 4 years it is now dark and greenish, guess its the picture tube over time. I went and got a Dell 1905FP LCD but hate it for editing and watching videos too much ghosting and artifacts compared to my CRT, plus the color looks artificial.

Anyone into digital imagery or video editing and have a personal preference for the CRT or LCD and why. Just wondering since I am stuck with my LCD and can't return it since 30 days have past.

Crt will give you more realistic colours and a better resolution at the cost of space and the high quality 22"s are silly expensive

Tft saves space and is easier on the eyes for say to say use, but the res sucks, colours arent very accurate and you pay more per pixel in 17" and 19" models

All my graphic designs mates use CRT's

I see, wish I had done some research before I splashed 500 on an LCD that wasn't going to look as good as my old CRT, to me anyway. Guess I'm stuck with it though, looking into repairing my CRT or getting a secondhand one since their prices are low even for the 19"

probably CRT is what ur looking for

as u get higher resolutions, more accurate colour and a high refresh rate

compared to TFT/LCD, which is what i got, though im not a graphic design student or anything, the colours and refresh rates etc suck on LCD

very different colours and movement when playing quake3, quite noticeable.

NEC LCD

16ms refresh rate. The colors are fine on the new ones. You gotta be ing wikkid idiot savant to know difference. slim, fast, no blurs. Its the way to go. I hate CRT
