Title: 'Affinity'
Cat. no.: ADJ004
Releasedate: 21.03.2005

From Adjusted's Site:
Next up on Adjusted is Hydra’s sky-scraping Affinity 2005, Steve Helstrip’s third and final legendary solo guise. Originally released on Discover records back in 2001, we have since reclaimed the rights and have been assembling a remix package we know you’d kill for!

Affinity’s remix roll-call features a truly international cast. Holland’s Menno de Jong, Sweden’s Progresia and Denmark’s CompleXz have all turned in huge new variations on the original’s theme. Menno’s remix was recently aired on Radio 1’s Essential Mix, courtesy of Jon O’Bir, and has generated a huge response from the world's DJ elite.

Check out the audio clips in the Release section.

absolutely amazing tune, im so glad they r keeping the thrillseekers remix. this track is 10/10 its so well produced.

its so simple with a great melody and bassline, this is the way trance should be in my eyes.
we need more stuff under the hydra guise!
Sand Leaper
The original is just 2 years old. Just get some new ideas for once, please. And if you absolutely HAVE to remake a tune, at least do something different with it, and not just make another mix that sounds exactly the same as last time, only with a bunch of generic, bland tripe synths thrown in in the breakdown for "good" measure.
RebeL9
totally agree with Sand Leaper. Whats the deal with rereleasing a 2 year old tune with some new remixes which adds absolutely nothing to the original song?
Does producers have no shame at all or is it all about money?
Get a life for god sake

Have only heard Progresia´s mix so far which is totally pointless but Rebel take is easy, Let them realese this if they want too..

Thrillseekers Dub is the nicest :) but Buythatrecord.com want £12.99 for the test pressing?? thats far too expensive

yeah but i think most of us already know your opinion anyway.. Unless it´s not a track from the joof label or something
So negative all the time

Well, it says a lot about the current state of trance when a mediocre track like this is being re-releeased with new mixes. Personally I was never a fan of the original and these do nothing to improve it.

I agree the original is a gorgeous song... I remember PvD playing it here in Adelaide.

But really why re-release it with a remake of it? what is that achieving?
