| You said it Kevin.......its really a debate over Prog vs. Trance.....and if you say you like Prog, but you don’t like Sasha...then you still don’t like Prog....maybe Prog Trance, because Sasha is pure Progressive…along with Breaks, Trance, Ambient, even Techno...Electro...I can go on and on! Hell when you see Movie Stars...and other top notch DJ's coming to see Sasha do his thing....that in says allot!! Put simply....Sasha is way ahead of his time and sets the standards for everyone else in this industry....people look up to him in this business. You don’t like Sasha? Hey...like Bas said..to each his own...but please....don’t say that Sasha sucks...beacuase the fact of the matter is, that Sasha is soooo good.....that even your cherished Armin van Boring wants to be him! |

I was there and I thought that Sasha set was way better then the one in december ( I did not go to the one in Jan)
I love Trance and Progressive equally, I'm even into trip hop, drum & bass and other electronic music. Don't compare apples with oranges.
Most of people really don't care about the style of music when they go out they just want to have a good time, they work all week and just want to go off. 75% of peeps in Avalon are in some kind of drug.(don't take me wrong I am too) so really it's what you enjoy when you high, it's really up to you.
I saw Tiesto, AVB, Ferry all those guys many time they do have off night in my book but it also depend of you mood. I know I can not agree with any of my friend about wish night was good or not.
Avalon is scary at time peeps with big ego, 2 girls fight right in front of me up-stair. This one dude want to battle me on the dance floor. The gun incident is scary enough to f..k-up your whole night, it would to me. But over all the place was pack and most of people seem to have a great time. |

digweed is straight up progressive as well. although he's defintely throwing in more electro and house. and holden...well holden is kinda in a league of his own...i call it "holden tech house" lol cuz its not normal tech house which is generally slow techno. its holden tech house. anyway good point tigo brought up about sasha being way ahead of his time.
armin, tiesto, most other djs for that matter, are just selectors...throwing down tracks and mixing them together. kudos cuz thats what a dj is essentially. but sasha takes it to a whole new level with his laptop. and thats what makes me love him so. its not necessarily the tracks, because i own most of them, its what he does to them and how he can manipulate the crowd on the dancefloor. class act every time. although i did miss jan i think his feb set blew the december one out of the water. can't wait for march 16th & 19th! |
