hi guys, sorry to post this here but i have nowhere else to turn and its doing my head in. i have a asus a7n266-vm motherboard with on-board sound. when i play a file it appears to be playing correctly yet there is no sound coming from my speakers (yes they are turned on and mute isnt on either) has anyone had a similar problem? or know what could be causing it?
thanks |

1)Is your computer on
if no, make sure it is plugged in
2)Are your speakers plugged into the computer? |

| try going into Control Panel>sound and making sure that all the levels are on and none of THEM are muted. just because main isnt on mute doesnt mean that if wav , midi , and line in are muted youll get sound :) its under first advanced tab in that board. also go into advaced and make sure treble and bass arent turned off |

| updated all the drivers and no they wasnt turned off in control panel or bios lol i dl the motherboard instruction mannual, turns out one of the wires that clips into the board had come off the pin, so it was just a case of using the instructions to see where it went. problem solved. thanks anyway everybody. |
