| Does anybody know what it means exactly when a re-released album is said to be "digitally re-mastered" and whether you can actually hear any difference or it's just a marketing stunt? |

| it means the recording has been mastered so there are no imperfections, no skipping, no clicks, no scratch sounds, etc. |

So, generally it's been digitized and put through some filters and then re-released. That's what I suspected, but thanks to you now I can be confident when I tell people that they wont notice any difference :)

| Totally, the only thing i noticed a differnce is, is with old songs. And rapture digitally remastered there live broadcast from homelands, and that was a big improvement. Shame rapture has gone now |

I am gutted too. I stayed up once till like 3am to watch the Angelic set at Manumission, ing class it was too. I only have Sky Digital, it might be on cable but I live in a village about 10 miles from Newcastle, they just put cable links in here, but we won't be able to get it until 2003 :( |

| Oops not homelands but manumission, i loved the john kelly set. It has gone for good, on everything. Real shame |
