Im not sure if this would be more suitable for the gaming forum, but Im not really talking about the game, but rather the experience, so I think the COR would be a good place to bring up this discussion.

I am aware that this game has been talked about before here on TA. As a matter of fact, there was a thread about Rez made this past summer, which is what sparked my initial interest.

So I got a hold of a copy.

When I first played it (this was over the summer), I liked it, and thought it was pretty cool and crazy, but nothing extraordinary. I got bored and stopped playing it.

Then, after a friend of mine and I tried X for the first time, we popped it in my Dreamcast about a week ago.

Un...be...ing...lievable.

This game changed my life. It changed my perception of how I see colors. I listen to trance completely different now. When Im driving, it is extremely easy for me to make my surroundings appear like they are moving to the beat of the music that I am listening to. The experience I had playing this game while on my trip is, no joke, probably one of the greater experiences of my ENTIRE life.

So, 2 questions. One, has anyone played this game? And if so, were you on something? Did you enjoy it as much as I did?

Second, are there any other games that any of you know of that go for the same trippy effect as Rez?

I want to see if Im the only one who trips out from playing a video game...

Theres the IGN review of the PS2 version, which is exactly the same and is equally as hard to find if you want to read up on it. :)

Great game.

I bet it'd be better while doing drugs. I don't plan on doing it, though.
